Abuse or violations of any one or more of the following rules is sufficient reason to suspend individuals, groups or clubs from using said facility. Those suspended can only reinstated upon approval of directors.
Vehicles must be parked in the parking area. A driveway from the firing line to the Lake Road must be kept clear at all times for emergency use. Exceptions will be made to members having more than four guns. No more than one vehicle at the firing line at any time.
Cans for trash disposal have been provided. All users of the range will be conscientious in keeping the shed clean. Trash may not be burned at the range at any time.
All dogs must be kept on a leash and restrained from being a nuisance to anybody using the range.
All firearms must remain encased until shooter is at firing line and ready to engage in any shooting activity.
No person shall handle a firearm until, on the firing line and then only after the range is determined to be clear and it is safe to shoot. No person shall remain at shooting bench while others are down range.
Shooters who have finished firing will make certain that their firearm is unloaded and the action is open before checking targets.
All firearms must be encased before leaving the firing line.
Muzzle of the firearm must always point down range.
Firing will be permitted only at prescribed targets. Plinking at bottles or cans is not permitted.
No person shall shoot at the steel animal, silhouette targets with any center fire gun. (Maximum 22 magnum)
No person shall break clay targets on the range.
Shoot only at targets which are in line with your bench (no cross fire)
After you are done shooting, all targets, holders, sand bags and spotting scopes have to be returned to the gear shed.
All non-members must be accompanied by a member. The said guest will be the full responsibility of the member.
It is the members’ responsibility to collect a $10.00 fee from each of the invited guests.
Any member may invite their son or daughter free of charge providing son or daughter is a student.
All members may invite no more than (1) immediate relative that does not live in the counties of Yarmouth, Digby or Shelburne free of charge (example: cousin, uncle, aunt, sibling, parents, grand-parents, or in-laws)
Guests may use the range only when there are no members waiting unless arranged between the individuals.
Alcoholic beverages or drugs are not permitted on the range. Persons whose behavior exhibits the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to encase their firearms. If the behavior continues, he/she will be asked to leave the property. If necessary, there will be no choice but to call the police.
All shooters are urged to wear eye and ear protection. The association will not be responsible for any injury resulting from the failure to wear such protection.
